Presidents Report
It has been a light Rotary week with the public holiday today, for the Bendigo Cup Extravaganza. We hope all those that went to the race meeting were able to pick a winner.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with Merrin and Graeme Lynas, as Merrin’s mother passed away late last week.
Ted Gretgrix and George Waters attended the Rotary Leadership Training day last Sunday. We look forward to an overview of the seminar at our meeting this coming week.
Our Social Committee has organized a viewing of the superb Morris Minor Garage and Museum, 36 Ford Rd, North Harcourt, for Sunday, 10th November.  If you would like to enjoy this personal, one-off experience, please be there by 10.30am.
This is truly a world-class exhibition of these iconic sedans and estate cars, lovingly restored and exhibited by Bill and Clare McKellar, and their son, Richard.  There are not just Morris Minors, but other vehicles (Holden’s, etc) and lots of Morris memorabilia on display.  Bill has purchased the super-special, MILLIONTH Morris Minor ever made, just resting quietly for us to admire on the day ........

Clare is a very talented artist, and her studio is also open for us on the day.  Bill and Clare have an extensive, lovely garden for us to wander through and enjoy.  So, the day is not just for car aficionados.
Their home and museum/garage is set in a beautiful location in Ford Rd, which is off the Bendigo-North Harcourt Road, approximately 25 mins from Bendigo.  There are lovely areas of their garden which are available to us to enjoy a picnic lunch if we wish.  If the weather is inclement on the day, we will be able to very comfortably eat inside, in Clare’s large studio.
Essential Details:  The cost is $10 per person, which is donated to the local fire brigade.  Please pay this direct to Ray Carrington on the day.  Bill and Clare will also serve coffee as part of this massive impost.
Please try to be there by 10.30am, for a guided tour by Bill.
Lovely picnic facilities are there for our enjoyment.
Please let Ray Carrington know (0417 502 349), at least a few days prior, if you will be coming – just so Bill and Clare have an idea of how many of us there will be.
Board Meeting
A reminder to all Board Members, the next Board Meeting will be next Tuesday the 5th November @ 5pm at St Aidan’s Board Room.
