Hi everyone,
A good turn out today on a very cold morning to provide breakfast for Ride to Work Day – we even had some turn up on their bike! The BBQ was a very popular spot.
A request has been received from Channel 7 regarding nominating a deserving family for a home renovation on their series of House Rules. If anyone has any ideas, can you let Rob Rosaia know? Bruce will include the details later in the bulletin.
The Board meeting was held Monday night. Patti presented the knitting project and the future of it was discussed. Patti needs some-one to help her out – especially when she is away. It would be great if some-one would volunteer for this, so speak to Patti to find out what is involved. This is a fantastic project Patti that has been flying under the radar.
The AR & G Committee have been meeting and if you want to read their minutes they are on Club Runner.
We had 2 resignations from the Club – Wayne Combridge and Paul Threlfall.
The Board approved providing funding to send 2 children to the Lord Mayor’s Camp.
Next week there will be a fundraising event at the meeting for Blue Ribbon Day, so bring your small change.
Friday night is the BBEA Awards night. All the tickets have been sold and all but one of the sponsorships are in. Great work everyone who has been involved.
Have a great week everyone,
Cathie

Hello,

House Rules is back for another series and we are looking to assist a family with a complete home renovation.

We are looking for a deserving family – good Samaritans, Aussie battlers, community contributors (fireys, ambos etc.) – with a house which has been damaged by weather, natural disaster or just needs renovation which the family can’t afford.

Ideally:
-          The family are owner-occupiers.
-          The home is the family’s primary residence.
-          The home is freestanding and not on a busy road.
-          If the home is in a regional/rural area there would be amenities nearby.

A community building would also be considered if you know of one of those that fits the bill.

If anyone knows of an appropriate family, we now have a nomination form online.

Alternatively, if you would like to discuss this project further I can be contacted on 02 9877 7223 or email rokeeffe@seven.com.au.

This is a very exciting opportunity for the chosen family. Applications close Friday 31st October.

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,
Rachel
