This week we had the pleasure of Doug Lougoon as chairman and stand in President with Georges absence. Doug is now in East Timor for the next fortnight.

 

The guest speaker was Penny Wilkinson of the Big Give. Last year the combined fundraising efforts of all the particpants was $100,000. This year the committee are coming up short in the sponsor department. The have about half the amount they need for advertising and prizes. The Big Give may be held over till 2018 if they are unable to gather enough sponsorship.

 

Doug reported on The Hat Day Party. Due to a lack of numbers Tony Plant has been forced to cancel the event. It will now be held at the one of Bendigo South's normal meetings.

 

 

Wednesday the 18th of October is Ride to Work Day. As is our usual practice we will meet in Hargreaves Mall from 7am and cook breakfast for the riders. Our normal meeting has been cancelled.

 

We have received notification that the District Governors official visit will be Wednesday 22nd November.
