Co President’s Report for 24th June 2026
Today we welcomed Brian Conan as our guest speaker who gave a very interesting talk on the history of rabbits in Australia – he needed a lot more time than we were able to give him.
Stan Hendy reminded the meeting that our Club was charted 38 years ago this month and we still have 7 charter members involved.
We have received thank you letters from Interplast and Lifeline Loddon Mallee for our recent donations.
Ted is still looking for volunteers to help at the Sheep and Wool Show – especially for Monday 13th and over the weekend. Contact him if you are able to help.
Phil Britton reported that plans for the National Tree Planting Day at Lightning Reef have been cancelled due to arborist concerns. This has opened up an opportunity however to participate in the school tree planting at Epsom Primary School on Monday 20th and Friday 24th July. More details to come.
Rob Rosaia and John Cannon updated the members on their recent visit to the Emergency Relief Centre at Ballarat and the meeting that was held Tuesday night with the Bendigo Clubs and Castlemaine to put together an investigation committee to assess the need, structure and funding requirements for a potential community care relief centre in central Victoria.
Stew Annan asked all members to consider what committees they want to be involved in for the next Rotary year and make contact with the appropriate Director.
