Co-President's report
Co-President Report for January 3rd, 2026
Happy 2026 to everyone and welcome back to the next 6 months of this Rotary year.
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and celebrated coming into a New Year.
Our first meeting for the year will be at Lake Weeroona again. Bring your family to join us for the start of the New Year.
There has been some activity over the break – helping FoodShare with their pop-up pantries. Thank you to those that helped.
Graeme has also been distributing some furniture to families who had nothing when they moved into their home. Thanks Graeme. I look forward to more details about what you have achieved at our first meeting back at Pepper Green Farm.
We look forward to seeing you at the lake on Wednesday.
Co-Presidents Cathie & Allie
Wednesday's meeting by the Lake
What has become a tradition for our Club over the years, our first meeting back after the festive season is an informal gathering by Lake Weeroona.
This coming Wednesday morning (7th January) members and guests are invited to come together at the lake for breakfast (provided) and fellowship at 7.30am.
The location is the BBQ pavilion adjacent to the second car park (nearest to the rail line) on Napier St.
Member's partners and family are welcome to join us for a social morning.
Come and join us as we explode into the second half of the Rotary year for 2025-26.
A Summary of 2025 in Verse
Bendigo Sandhurst Rotary – 2025
From bustling markets, and tents held high,
All hands-on deck as the weeks flew by.
Our biggest fundraisers, tried and true,
Powered by teamwork the only way through.
BBQs fire up, a fruit service with cheer,
Backing the youth and the community near.
Trees were planted, grew green and strong,
Regenerating Nth Bendigo keeps rolling on.
Behind the scenes, the steady workers we need—
Good plans, sound funds, real outcomes indeed.
Well respected, trusted, and connections made wide,
Across Bendigo our Rotary works side by side.
So, here’s to the teamwork, the grit, and true care,
To fellowships forged between clubs here and there.
Well done Bendigo Sandhurst
In 2025 we rolled up our sleeves,
And turned our good intentions into meaningful deeds.

Bendigo Foodshare Pop Up Pantry 2025
Members of the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst once again rolled up their sleeves to support our community, proudly partnering with Bendigo Foodshare for the 2025 Pop Up Pantry.
With care and dignity at the heart of the initiative, essential grocery items — along with a few special treats — were made available for people to take what they needed. For many households, this time of year can place extra pressure on already stretched budgets, and the Pop Up Pantry offered both practical support and a sense of reassurance.
It was a simple but powerful reminder of what can be achieved when the community digs in - supermarkets, workplace collections through the Reverse Advent Calendar initiative, churches and personal donations - to come together with kindness, compassion and purpose. Rotary is proud to stand alongside Bendigo Foodshare in helping ensure no one feels alone or unsupported during challenging times.

The Noticeboard
Each week various information come into the Bulletin email, small bits to add into the bulletin that doesn't really go anywhere else but may be good to know. Sometimes it's an announcement, an invitation, an update or advertisement.
Here are this week's tidbits:
"On to Conference" or "On to Impact Summit"
Are you considering going or have already booked to go to the Impact Summit in Horsham, then I would really like to know so that we can look at whether we hold a club event or not. At this time, I know that we have five members with accommodation booked. Please email or text me if you are already booked or are considering going.
I will keep you updated when I know more about the Summit program.
Note: Two speakers have been added to the Summit Speaker list. Click on the link below to see details.
