No formal guest speaker this morning, but a number of club members filled the time slot with some very interesting information and fun discussion.
Donations in Kind (DiK) Product Program
Graeme Lynas gave us an update on the DiK product distribution program that he and John Cannon have been undertaking. Recently they have distributed 700 T shirts to needy recipients through Foodshare and the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat Community Meals Team.
Graeme and Merrin Lynas visited DIK last week and collected more products enabling a further distribution to Foodshare and the Bendigo Karen Community.
The groups were very thankful for the donated goods which will be put good use.

Palau an interesting birthday destination
Recently Paul Kirkpatrick had a special birthday ending in a zero. He decided that he would like to visit Palau for his birthday. For those like me who didn't know where Palau was, it was interesting presentation.
Palau is an archipelago of over 500 islands, part of the Micronesia region in the western Pacific Ocean. Koror Island is home to the former capital, also named Koror, and is the islands’ commercial center. The larger Babeldaob has the present capital, Ngerulmud, plus mountains and sandy beaches on its east coast. A visit to Google Maps will soon show you where Palau is located.
Paul explained that the islands in the area played a significant role during the second world war with the Japanese forces occupying them and then being displaced by the American forces.
The seas around the islands are very popular diving destinations for avid divers from around the world.
