Co-President's report

Cathie & Allie are taking the opportunity to have a well-earned short break this week given that there was no club meeting last Wednesday. They will be back on deck at this coming Wednesday's morning meeting.
Blue Light Youth Day – Camp Getaway Wed 5 Nov.
Stew is still looking for some additional assistance on Wednesday.
Blue Light plan to run a full day session at Camp Getaway for past participants and maybe some current participants of their One-on-One program and their boxing/gym programs. They plan a fun day mixed with some reflections about how the young people are going now. It’s a way for Blue Light to keep in touch and maybe offer a bit more support. We have been asked to run the BBQ lunch (funded by Blue Light). We have agreed to do this. Blue Light is keen to have more Rotarians than just the BBQ team, with the idea that we might informally mingle with the young people during the lunch. If you are able to help with the BBQ, and/or just be there, please let Stew know.

The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.

Our mission

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

What impact can one donation have?

  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
