Co-President's report
Co-President report for July 2nd 2025
Thankyou everyone who attended the Changeover. We would especially like to thank the members who helped plan the Changeover and helped set Camp Getaway up in the morning. The table decorations looked great.
Thanks to Colleen for the idea for the table decorations and then getting them organised, Madeleine for the flowers for the tables, Paul for putting the annual Report together, Kevin D for following up with the catering and RSVP’s, and Evelyn, Julia, Toni, Colleen, Kevin D, and Madeleine for helping Ray, Adrian, Allie and I with setting up in the morning.
Congratulations to our 2 new Paul Harris Fellowship holders – Liz Commadeur and Rob Rosaia was presented with a Sapphire pin.
During the Changeover, Ray was able to update everyone on the progress of our donation to the flood appeal in NSW. Later in the bulletin is a certificate and letter from the combined Clubs of Taree.

Hi Ray

It was a pleasure to speak to you for confirmation of the major donation of $12,000 from the members of your Rotary Club towards our combined Manning Rotary Clubs flood appeal.  As you are aware our area was recently severely impacted by a devastating record flood.

The members of the Manning Rotary Clubs; Wingham, Taree and Taree on Manning have agreed that your donation be contributed to the flood appeal of the Manning River Agricultural and Horticultural Society Taree Inc. (Taree Show Ground) towards the replacement and repair of severely damaged infrastructure including their switch board, electrical connections etc.

Being in a flood prone area the Taree Show Ground held no flood insurance, common to many residents of the Manning Valley.  Jane Davis, Chairperson has expressed her sincere appreciation of your contribution. Cecilia Logan, Manager of The Royal Agricultural Society, Sydney has advised that your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar towards the Taree Show Ground appeal.

Please find attached a Certificate of Appreciation.

In due course we will arrange a formal presentation to acknowledge your generous donation, hopefully at a time when your members maybe able to attend, perhaps even in your caravans on site at the Taree Showground.

We wish you well on your Changeover Celebration tomorrow 29 June 2025.

Yours in Rotary
Richard
