It was a cold wet morning for the HALT breakfast but still a good turn up - well done team. Thanks Graeme Lynas for speaking about Rotary, staying connected to community and reminding us to maintain the work/life balance.
Report from cluster President’s meeting 3rd May 2015
Terry Dalwood gave a brief report on Men Shed at Cal Gully. Strong Rotary links with Mens Shed in Bendigo and community. Terry requests that Rotary clubs (more than 1) in cluster support Mens Shed – assistance. Terry will forward an email with more information and interested clubs can register their interest with him. Terry will then arrange a meeting date and time.
National Insurance – as a result of the feedback from the Clubs, the District Governance Director is writing to the Rotary Australia insuance providers to improve the cover for those over 80 and 90 years
RC Kangaroo Flat distributed information on their chocolate project. Clubs can purchase chocolates with the Rotary logo embossed on each piece.
Rotary Club Central – training for cluster Presidents and Secretaries on the value of this portal and how to use it was discussed. ADG Greg Noonan will follow this up
Valentine’s Day Ball – final report not yet received. MOU provision will be discussed at the next meeting.

Team China Primary School Programme – request received for the cluster to provide support to send students to China for a 9 day exchange. Not supported by all the clubs, so support to be provided by individual clubs interested.
Rotary bumper stickers are available if clubs are interested in purchasing them.
Red Cross blood drive. Information to be sent to Presidents.

Progress to date discussed. Some of the ideas presented:
- Sessions opened up to non-Rotarians.
- Sponsorship options outlined and support from each club required to help find business sponsors.

Legacy ideas for Bendigo.
Nominations from Bendigo Rotarians for committee membership.
