It is time for us to put on our thinking caps and see if we can identify people within our community who may be
eligible for recognition for a Shine On award.
The Shine On Awards specifically acknowledge the great volunteer service that people with disability contribute to their local and wider community.
These awards recognise people living with chronic illness/disease, physical or intellectual limitations or mental health disorders, to focus
upon the abilities of those living with disability.
Nominations are to be submitted by November 15th with the Award Ceremony being held in April 2018. The Shine On committee have provided a
quick outline showing how you and your Club can become involved. If you have any questions about Shine On, or want to contribute to the program,
please contact our District 9800 representatives;
Louise Bugeja
phone: 0418 597 427

Even if you yourself can’t think of a recipient right now, please share the information about the Awards with your fellow Rotarians at your next club
meeting, in your bulletin or on your website as someone within your community may know the perfect award recipient who is very deserving of
acknowledgement.
Cheers,
Del King,
Community Service Chair
