Co-President's report
Co-Presidents Report for 8 th October 2025
Today we welcomed the President of the RC Bendigo – Noel Hobley. Members of
the club were visiting other clubs during the week as they could not meet at their usual venue for the week. It was good to see you Noel.

An update on the progress of the Futures Plan was provided. If you want to read the progress made to date, the Achievements Register has been uploaded into Club Runner under Strategic Plan – Achievement Register.
The Needs Analysis has been completed and the next steps identified. One of the outcomes has been the development of a live tracking document of the
service/organisations working in the youth space.

The work on developing a Public Image guideline is almost complete.

The next 90-day Action Plan was discussed and adopted by the members present.
This document has also been uploaded into Club Runner.

Thank you everyone who has put so much work into getting us this far.

Unfortunately, Brian Hodge has had to resign as Membership Director. We will be
looking for some-one to take over this position for the rest of this year.

Some reminders for upcoming activities:
  •  No meeting next week – we will be doing breakfast for Ride to Work Day instead
  • Catch up with RC Swan Hill Sunrise at Gunbower Hotel on Sunday 19th Oct
  • Social night at Bridge Hotel on Thursday 23rd Oct
  • Foundation Dinner on Tues 28th Oct at Bendigo Club. We don’t have a meeting the following day, so it would be great to see a good number of members at this event.
Alison Bacon our Rotary Community Group North Central Victoria has organised a zoom meeting on Friday 24th Oct to discuss the possibility of developing an
Emergency Network in this region of Victoria. If you are interested in being part of this initial discussion, let me know and I will send you the zoom link.

Liz informed us that there will be four bales of knitting goods going into a container for Maubisse at the end of the month.

Immersed in Stew's presentation for the update

BlueLight Youth Day – Camp Getaway Wed 5 Nov.

BlueLight plan to run a full day session at Camp Getaway for past participants and maybe some current participants of their One-on-One program and their boxing/gym programs. They plan a fun day mixed with some reflections about how the young people are going now. It’s a way for BlueLight to keep in touch and maybe offer a bit more support. We have been asked to run the BBQ lunch (funded by BlueLight). We have agreed to do this. BlueLight is keen to have more Rotarians than just the BBQ team, with the idea that we might informally mingle with the young people during the lunch. If you are able to help with the BBQ, and/or just be there, please let Stew know.
